Q: What is SANJIBAN?
A: SANJIBAN is a natural organic growth stimulant that biologically activates the soil. SANJIBAN works in the soil so that the soil works better, naturally. SANJIBAN means a “Renewal of Life”. The product range is derived from plant and organic matter extracts and also contains special enzyme catalysts, seaweed and vermicompost extracts to enhance biological life in the soil and plant system.
FACTS ON WHICH THE SANJIBAN SYSTEM IS BUILT
Fact No.1: The Soil, when healthy and fertile, has a living community of soil bacteria and other micro-organisms.
Fact No.2: The Soil organisms are responsible for the continuous breakdown of native rock materials. They decompose organic matter to provide a continuous supply of nutrition for plant food.
Fact No.3: The population and activity of healthy soil bacteria are directly related to the efficiency of fertilisers, chemicals and soil nutrients.
Fact No.4: Farming soils the world over are rapidly becoming biologically depleted over the last 20-25 years due to overuse, mono-cropping, excessive chemical inputs, and unbalanced nutrition.
Q: Does SANJIBAN contain live bacteria?
A: No. There are no live organisms in SANJIBAN products. Therefore they have an extended shelf-life and will not lose strength and efficiency if exposed to air and sunlight.
Q: Why are there no live organisms in SANJIBAN?
A: Because live organism introductions do not work consistently. From laboratory to field, through transportation and temperature changes, bacterial counts keep going down. On contact with dry soil, insecticides or contaminated water, bacteria will die. Further, they may adapt poorly to a new environment and face competition from already existing colonies. The SANJIBAN system prefers a different way: by creating the soil conditions necessary to cause native organisms essential to plant life to quickly re-establish themselves and further multiply rapidly. Of course, if new bacterial cultures are introduced, SANJIBAN products will also quickly increase their population.
Q: Why do we need soil bacteria?
A: Soil bacteria are the primary digestive system of the soil. Their activity is responsible for almost 90% of all biological and chemical actions. For instance, key macronutrients such as nitrogen, sulphur and phosphorus all require microbial transformation in the root zone to make them more available to the plant. Soil bacteria transform nutrients from "forms not usable by the plant" to "forms usable by the plant". Again, soil microbes improve aeration by loosening dense and compacted soils. Water is then able to better infiltrate and percolate. Most important, soil bacteria decompose organic waste materials such as leaves and manure into organic humus, which stores both moisture and nutrients. Further, microbes can balance soil acidity and alkalinity, create the carbon dioxide plants need, as well as produce vitamins, toxins, and hormones that both feed and protect the plant system.
Q: Can SANJIBAN alone restore health to poor soils?
A: SANJIBAN products will quickly encourage the natural soil processes and increase microbial life, but healthy soils also require organic materials and a balanced nutrition diet. It is very important to provide the soil microbial life with well-composted farm waste and manures as well as nutrients.
Q: On what crops can SANJIBAN be used?
A: SANJIBAN products are not crop specific. They work on all plant life, in different soils, and in different climatic zones. SANJIBAN aims to improve total soil and plant health and therefore all crops can benefit.
Q: When is the best time to apply SANJIBAN and can it be mixed with other fertilisers?
A: Best results are obtained after application of organic compost and manures. It is advisable to apply SANJIBAN products separately. If systemic fungicides are used, it is essential to apply SANJIBAN after a 10-day gap to allow soil biological activity to restart. All packages carry dosage labels.
Q: Are SANJIBAN products safe?
A: SANJIBAN natural organic bio-stimulants are safe and non-toxic, being natural extracts from plants, crop residues, etc. They are not intended for animal consumption or internal use.
Q: How cost-effective is SANJIBAN?
A: Proper use of the SANJIBAN system of products, along with a balanced, nutritional management, can reduce a farm's input costs and increase profits. On an average, 10-15% yield increases have been recorded, and sometimes much more. You have to also factor in the multiple benefits of increase in soil fertility, the reduction of salts and stress, the enhancement of all-round soil and plant health, the assured continued productivity of your soil from one generation to the next, to determine a fair and correct cost-benefit ratio.
Q: Why the Non-Warranty Information?
A: SANJIBAN bio-stimulants are produced to proprietory formulations and standards and are regularly tested and evaluated, both in laboratory and field studies. Many of the products are also Certified Organic Inputs. However, as the field conditions and application procedures followed are beyond the manufacturer’s control, no guarantees are extended. It is always best to conduct a pilot study in local conditions before adopting new products and processes.
Q: what are these special packages for home gardens and small farms?
A: People living in large cities are often unable to maintain small gardens in their homes, due to lack of time, inability to find proper compost or manure and strict laws of community living. Similarly families who own small farms are finding it difficult to make their farms profitable, due to reducing fertility of soil, increasing labour and power costs and other expenses. The special pack helps tackle these problems. The products are completely organic, therefore absolutely safe and earth-friendly. Q: Do we have to order for the whole package?
A: No, it is not necessary that you do so. However, the package has been designed to take care of a plant’s health and growth throughout its life-cycle. A single product may not achieve the desired result.

Q: Once we have sent you the order, when can we expect our products?
A: After we have acknowledged your order, we expect you to send the payment. Once we get the payment, your order will be dispatched within 48 hrs. As distances vary, we cannot determine exactly after how many days you would receive the products.
